If the conversation went:
  • Hopefully he's going to be white
  • Let's hope he has his Dad's Jeans
  • Hope he's not a Darky.
  • Do you think he'll end up Gammon
  • I need to know what colour he's going to be so I can buy something too match.
Then that's racist , even more so if a face is pulled.

Or
  • Do you think he will be Dark or pale skinned.
  • Your pale Megan do you think he will follow your Dad's or your mother's Line.
  • Who will he take after, you or his Dad?
Then not so racist.

But who knows

There is nothing racist about wondering how dark the baby's skin might be.
It's not any different than discussing what colour of hair it might have, black or ginger, whether or not it will have freckles, who it will take after.
She/they are looking for things that don't exist and making a mountain out of a molehill.

there is nothing racist about wondering.
Expressing concern could be construed as racist.

Im sure if i was black you wouldn't call me stupid.
It wouldn't matter what colour you are, if you're stupid, you're stupid.
To imply that you were stupid because of your ethnicity, is absolutely racist.
To imply that you were supremely intelligent because of your ethnicity is equally racist.

So why make a 'comment' about skin colour at all?

After all, as long as the child is healthy surely?

But of course it obviously makes a difference to some people!

I have zero interest myself but the interview can only be a publicity exercise. It benefits neither side in terms of resolving family issues and will only polarise public opinion. The only benefit I see for them is if they make some money out of it down the line.

Have you used the word Gammon?

'Impossible to know' which senior Royal was worried about how dark baby would be
8th March 2021

PALACE experts have confirmed there is ‘no way of knowing’ which senior member of the Royal family was openly concerned about how dark Archie’s skin would be.

The sensational claim, made by Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview, has the public guessing which Royal could possibly have said something spontaneously and bluntly racist.

Former equerry Julian Cook said: “We’re looking for a senior Royal who has a history of making insensitive remarks. Someone older, perhaps, whose attitudes are not quite in step with modern times.

“It would have to be someone with a habit of saying what’s on their mind, no matter how shocking to others. It could well be someone so senior in the family that no-one’s ever dared tell them they’re being offensive.

“Anyone who would present Meghan with a Farrow & Ball paint chart and bark ‘Go on, pick the little bugger out’ would be completely out of touch, unashamed of it and confident he would never, ever face consequences.

“But I’m as baffled as you are as to his true identity. We may never know.”

A Buckingham Palace spokesman refused to answer speculation on who the mystery Royal could be, and added that it was disrespectful as he was currently hospitalised after a heart operation.
