Hi,
My neighbor is soon to go away this evening but her house alarm has just started to go off.
She didnt even know it worked so doesnt even know the pin number.

Ive popped the alarm control unit cover off where the internal siren started to sound.

I have removed the mains fuse which has 90 silenced the bell box etc outside on the wall.
I have also pulled the red wire off the battery which lives inside this control box.

There is a slight noise still from outside but can you advise how to clear the memory & insert a new pin etc

If you need a photo of the pcb to show this isnt me trying to break in then no problem etc.

Thanks

The problem is if the alarm is not in use and its now activating it would appear theres a fault.

You can google for the alarm manual and its relatively brief. If its not been maintained I would be tempted to get a new back up battery rather than reattach the old one.

I think she just wants to disable it as never even knew it worked.
Can it be silenced if the pin is lost etc.

no power ie no mains and no battery it shouldn't work, not working no noise.

the bell box may have a back up battery and in theory its possible to activate the bell until that back up battery has died, although it is unlikely.

So the noise coming from the box outside should die soon ?

I should then leave the fuse out in the control box & also leave the red wire off the battery correct ?

yes no power no work.

the bell box will stop usually after 15/20 minutes after the last activation if it has its own power.

Hi,
This alarm noise outside on the wall is still chirping away.

Ive since left the fuse out inside & also removed the - and + wirs from the battery at the control panel.

What should i do with regards this chirping ?
