On Site Guide

and
Just about any elementary book for electricians

Shouldnt earthing be on the end of that.?

Back in the days 14th regs
It was PEIC

The acronym CRIPLER...

Dead Tests
Continuity of earths and CPC's
Ring circuit continuity
Insulation resistance
Polarity

Live Tests
Loop impedance
Earth rod resistance
RCD test

Full list of items.

BEFORE CONNECTION OF THE SUPPLY
1 Continuity of protective conductors
2 Main and supplementary bonding continuity
3 Continuity of ring final circuit conductors
4 Insulation resistance
5 Site applied insulation
6 Protection by separation
7 Protection by barriers and enclosures
8 Insulation of non-conducting floors and walls
9 Polarity
10 Earth electrode resistance if an earth electrode resistance tester is used
WITH THE SUPPLY CONNECTED
11 Earth electrode resistance if an earth-fault loop tester or the ammeter and voltmeter method are used
12 Confirm correct polarity
13 Earth-fault loop impedance
14 Correct operation of residual current devices
15 Correct operation of switches and isolators

Some of these (5 to 8 eg) do not apply to most domestic situations.

But if you have an earth electrode resistance tester
You do that BEFORE the supply is connected

Thats in the on site guide
10.2.1 (v)
OR

WITH THE SUPPLY CONNECTED
11 Earth electrode resistance if an earth-fault loop tester or the ammeter and voltmeter method are used
12 Confirm correct polarity

Would you not do 12 before 11
Well done anyway you had the earth electrode Number 10 spot on
