Osmo Polyx Oil Floorboards

Anyone able to answer this? I've just applied Osmo Polyx Oil Raw onto my floorboards (X2 coat) and I was hoping it would help seal the floorboards from splintering, however if I run my hand around, I'm still catching bits of wood. Is this normal with Osmo? I was expecting it to have more of a protective layer like varnish or wax for some reason.

If the woods not sanded smooth you will get splinters.
