osmo polyx oil on pine floors

I seem to remember reading somewhere that Hardwax oils are particularly prone to the 'fake tan' effect on pine floors. I was therefore thinking of using osmo pine wood wax transparent colour on my pine floors to eliminate this effect- anyone able to advise me? would this give a better result or will the osmo polyx oil be fine?
