Hello all .. could use some advice on the type of founds to go with in my garden for a proposed outbuilding which I will construct out of either brick and block or SIPS depending on how brutal a job the founds will be to construct .. it seems that the buildings both to come to around the same price in terms of materials cost although the SIPS build would be a lot faster there are pros and cons of each..
The building will be 4 x 4 meters and under 2.5 meters tall flat roof EPDM.
The site location is clayey soil with the presence of cherry and holly trees one of each nearby both within a meter or two of the proposed founds. See the attached pic of my rather untidy garden .. yes my wife hates me.
If SIPS outbuilding the swift plinths worry me by their cost, ability for animals to borrow and increased building height.
If brick and block I am worried I will have to dig to the centre of the earth for a trench fill.
