Good evening all,
I have just had an extension built at the back of our bungalow, the outside walls are now inside walls, and I want to paint them, can you advise on the preparation please.
They are stock red facing bricks all in good condition, should I use a diluted pva coat to seal/prime the walls, or a stabilising solution maybe?
Thanks.

A thinned down coat of Emulsion and then two further coats should do it .
PVA should only be used for sticking things, you will not need stabilising solution as the brickwork is not friable and dusty

Cheers Bosswhite, I'll give it 2 coats of white matt emulsion, then a top coat of soft stone dulux trade matt.
