Outside Socket

Just wanted to double check...

I have an adaptable box on my wall with 6mm cable / 32a mcb - waiting for the shed to be built, then run the armoured to a small Cu in the shed and so on.

This isn't going to happen for a good while, but I do need a socket now where the box is.. will it accept 6mm cable?

Or can I step the cable down, can't change the 6mm as its behind a wall now.

Most decent sockets will take 6mm cable, no problem.
