Been reading a few things on here and generally you tell everyone to use 6mm Armoured cable to the garage.

My garage is supplied direct from the CU but its not armoured cable all the way.

Its 2.5MM T&E from the consumer unit to a small box in the outhouse, then out of the other side of the small box runs 6mm armoured cable which goes out side into the garage and the garage CU.

The garage CU runs two fluorescent lights, a couple of sockets and a pond pump .

Is the mismatch of cable 2.5 T&E to 6mm armoured cable okay for whats in the garage or does it need replacing.

Thank You for help
