I'm running Blue 25mm MDPE pipe at a depth of around 750mm to feed a new outside tap (which will eventually form part of a pop-up sprinkler install).

I believe I should come up above ground with some sort of rigid pipe for the tap. What is the best pipe for the job here, please? Copper or Malleable Iron?

Run it in blue all the way. "Incorrect" but pragmatic.

Some ducting or insulation will protect against UV.

Optimally work out a way of draining it during prolonged heavy frost, but in any case blue poly more resilient than metal.
