Hello, I've just had a plasterer in to overboard and skim my ceiling in my lounge and replace coving. Around the edge of the room the overboarding does not reach all the way to the walls in many places, this will be covered by coving when it goes up but if I ever decided I wanted a more modern look with no coving I couldn't do it. Is what he has done acceptable practice, I don't want to antagonise by complaining inappropriately but the gaps are 4-5cm in places and it feels a bit poor. Any advice would be very welcome.

Thank You.

You told him you were coving. He probably took that into account when quoting. You get what you pay for in this life. If you want to pay extra I'm sure he'll do it for you.
