Overboarding Screw Centres

I've just read via a search that some here use 150mm max screw centres for p/boarding. Is this not a little excessive? I know that used to be recommended for nailing but Zurich seem to suggest 230mm max for screws. What are the preferences for the lads on here? (I'm expecting discrepancies!).

what they say is 300mm for screws and 150mm for nails

I do what looks right, prob about 200/300mm between screws.

I just judge it by eye but never more than 200mm apart. Drywall screws are cheap enough, quickly & easily fixed with a power driver, what’s the point in skimping

Edit: on checking, BG actually say max 230mm
