Overflow Leaking

From the cold water tank in the loft.

Is there any adjustment on the float or is it needing replaced.

It's bend the brass arm on that type! Maybe the washer has flattened if it's getting on a bit.

if you lift the ball, is it still leaking

if it stopped leaking, bend the ball down, if it kept leaking, you need to replace, it could also be that the ball has a crack and has filled up with water, which makes it heavier, hence it doesn't close the tap

Managed to bend it a little and its done the trick.

The other way on that one is unscrew the ball a bit and then run the locknut up to it.
