I am about to redecorate the exterior masonary on our house.
About 12 years ago this was professionally spray coated with a textured coating (trade name "Andurex") which has now started to flake off in patches, although most of it is sound but a bit discoloured.
Since I can't afford to have it professionally re-coated (quotes range from £10K-£12K!) I intend to overpaint it with Weathershield (or something similar) myself.
I would be interested to hear from anyone else who has done this, regarding any issues to look out for, and or problems that might arise.
I will scrape any flaky areas and stabilise, and will wash down all the walls with fingicidal wash before painting.
Any thoughts, tips or advice gratefully received.
