my laptop screen just went blank tried connecting to my computor screen and still am getting nothing battery is ok

Could be anything, but will be expensive if you need a new panel/inverter. Have you tried restarting?

Usually, to switch to an external screen, you need to activate it by pressing a combination of keys.

Apart from the blank screen, does it appear to boot?

Can you identify which keys switch to external display. They are usually marked on the keyboard.

yes you can hear it booting up but there is nothing on the screen

TO add a little, usually one of the function or number keys, will have a small picture that vaguely resembles a monitor on it, often F4, usually used with the Fn key.
