can you paint in stages?
like cut in one day and then roller it the next? or is it best to keep a "wet edge" when painting a wall?

I ask because my back is playing up at the minute and more than 30 mins or so of bending and climbing ladders is a bad idea....

you should keep a wet edge, but if you cut in and leave as random/jagged a line as possible onto the wall, it`ll probably be ok.

Always keep a wet edge and finish to a corner or other edge. You wont be painting anything thats so big as cant be taken to a corner before you stop. Letting the cutting in to dry is never a good idea. Doesnt matter on mist coats but the final coat has to be finished in one go.

it'll only be for a mist coat or 2.. just to seal the plaster.. I'm papering over it after..
