Paint to strip off wood

Hello all,
I have a door jarm that was painted but i want to get down to the wood so i can stain or wax , i am finding it impossible to get some of the ingrained paint off , anyone got any good ideas ! .

You have too keep rubbing it down because the paint you're seeing is deeper in the wood and you rub it down to that level to get rid of it. May need a rougher glasspaper to start with. A belt sander is good for this but you can take too much off

to be honest with you lts prob easyer to change the door lining about a tenner.
