I have fresh skimmed room, room was left to dry for around4 weeks.

I have done a few mist coats of paint on the fresh plaster and now its ready for the finish colour (Dulux silk).

The Dulux paint seems very very thick - it is wise to thin it down slightly?

or do I use it out of the tin?

Many Thanks

I would normally thin second coat down, though it's difficult to say from here.. each wall has its own absorbency, whats good for one might be too thin for another. Generally I thin my mistcoat way down sometimes 50/50. The next coat I apply a bit thicker, I can then see if paint is too thick (or wall is still absorbent) if brush marks dont flow out easy, so then I might decide to thin a bit more. But generally I always thin my emulsion down. Though will say paint lately seems to come a bit thinner than I'm used to. bit like the shrinking mars bar.. smaller and more expensive
