Paint Type to Match Internal Doors

Have white internal doors in a new(-ish) built house. The doors were, presumably, painted in the factory.
They need some touching up but not sure what paint TYPE is needed.
I bought some quick-dry silk interior paint but it didn't match. What paint type best matches these kind of internal
doors, or is it not really possible to get the same finish as done in the factory?

If you don't know the name of the door manufacturer, it is going to be difficult to match the colour.... BTW, If it a fire check door, there should be a label on the top of the door which will hopefully help you identify the maker.

I would guess that they were factory sprayed using waterbased paint. More often than not, they use RAL colours (rather than British Standard colours or proprietary colours).

From memory RAL has 4 shades of white.

The other problem that you have is determining the sheen level (how shiny the paint is). When I sprayed cabinets for a living, I would normally go for a 20% sheen level (I didn't have the skill or a clean environment to much higher). In hand painting terms, that is akin to a eggshell finish (normally, 20 to 30% sheen).

You mentioned using silk- ordinarily that is an emulsion and not a wood paint. It tends to be thicker. Off hand, I do not know what the sheen level of silk emulsion. When a customer asks me to paint walls with a non-matt paint, I opt for water based eggshell rather than vinyl silk. I find that it "lays off" better.
