painted walls being re-plastered

My parents are having their whole house re-plastered ( rather them than me!!) and wanted to know if they needed to do anything to the walls before they are plastered. All the walls have been painted, no wallpaper for as long as I can remember. I would say mid 70's then in 80's it was artexed which has since been removed and then walls painted!!

No nothing the plasterers will PVA the walls first.

After plastering walls must be mist coated
