We have a 10sqm outside patio/walkway which is quite old concrete... we ahvent the money to get decking nor get a new screed of concrete... so option we wanted to go with is to paint the outside concrete... as it will be walked on I wasnt sure what paint to use... can you simply use a few coats of exterior masonary paint? or will that just get ruined when you walk on it etc? any advise is much appreciated

Youl need to pressure wash the concrete first and make sure its clean..you can use masonry paint, it wont last forever but will be fine for a good while..you might find oil based masonry will give better service

Thin the first coat out and then give it two full coats, ten m2...1 5 litre tin shold do it for you

Have a look at this link theres a cojuple of pictures on there
