Hello Everyone,

I have recently bought a number of MDF Slatwall panels that are in a light grey finish. I was wondering what the best method to paint them was?

A friend of mine recomended priming them first but since it's only the plastic covering (I don't know what it is but it feels like plastic) that I want to paint I didn't know if priming it was any use.

Also i've got a paint spray gun, would that be okay or would it be better to use rollers and brushes?

My budget is really low right now and can't afford to buy the black ones so I just opted for the light grey which were on discount with the intention of painting them.

PLEASE HELP,
Thanks ;)

Obviously if u apply normal paint on the "plastic" then it will loose adhesion eventually. Zamix & Zinseer paints claims some of there products adhere to PVC.

Hello again,

Well up to now I tried painting onecoat black gloss on the panel and it seems fine though easily scratches, hence I have decided to try a coat of laquer to seal and protect. Some areas dried a bit thin so I have decided to paint a second coat then laquer it.

Take care everyone. :!:
