Painting metal drive gates.

Any tips?

Planning on stripping off old paint/rust with a polycarbide disc on a drill, then painting with black SF no nonsense paint. Should I go for hammer finish or smooth, what's best for finish/durability?

Id imagine both are as durable as each other...you could always ring the manufacturers technical line about that.

As for the finish..its up to your own personal preference

Have found hammered is more likely to pinhole than smooth
