Hi I'm having a nightmare with getting paint to stick and wondered if anyone can help. We've recently had the ceilings re-plastered and have used fortress contract Matt for new plaster to paint it. The plaster was definitely dry and we applied a mist coat, which in patches didn't seem to want to stick but eventually did. When this had dried, upon trying to apply further coats the paint has stripped off the first coat. This has happened in patches. The back of the paint that comes off is the same colour as the plaster and is evenly coloured but it's not thick pieces of plaster coming off.
The plaster wasn't entirely perfect it did have some blemishes, very fine cracks and rough patches that have required filling, but these areas are not the problem areas. Any ideas what could be causing this and how to fix? Ideally I don't want to scrape all of the paint off and start again
Any help much appreciated!!
