Painting Radiators.

I have fitted some new radiators to a room I am decorating.
Do people normally paint radiators?

Most new radiators are pre finished and dont need painting.

We like to paint them the same colour as the walls so they blend in a bit and are not so obvious. We use emulsion paint over a suitable undercoat and it works great.

Have also successfully painted new radiators, for same reason as above. Used same paint as used for skirting boards, matt gloss - takes a while to dry so need 2 b careful not to brush past n best 2 do in summer when radiators not in use creating different temperatures as paint dries.

Do what you like but do not paint hot rads. Will be absolute disaster, especially if you gonna use enamel paint. Speaking from from my own experience
