2 questions:

I am having the exterior of my house painted - I have asked a couple of local builder/painters to quote me. What is usual per square metre?

Secondly, I want to paint some old exterior woodwork. It is currently painted black and I want to redo it white. What is the best way of taking the black off? Should i prime it then paint it?

Thanks in advance

Cant help with with the quote...too many factors..state off the walls...smoothness, type of paint, amount of preparation, obstacles,
height, etc

Most painters do it by what the jobs worth anyway and by the measure.

As for the black...why do you want to take it off? and where is it?...if your talking about burning off then be careful its risky on an outside
