Hey,

I have this problem. I have a McAlpine flexible connector (something like http://www.plumbers-mate-sales.co.u...nd-pan-connector-wc-f26p---40005046-438-p.asp) that is solvent welded onto the stack so can't just easily swap it.

From what I can tell, when I push it home on the pan, it's almost pulling itself at a slight angle which I guess is the problem.

Can I use a normal pan extension (http://www.plumbers-mate-sales.co.u...stable-socket-extension---42000004-4355-p.asp), then connect the flexi one into the extension?

Or is there a better (simple) way?

Thanks

I like flexis but can't figure why it would pull @ an angle:notworthy: isn't it flexi enough to line up. Can you post a pic.

It's a concealed cistern install so not easy to get a good pic with it all in. When I push it home I can feel it slip back on the pan. Maybe the seal is shagged - can they be replaced?

I'd be tempted to cut off the old one and replace with a new purpose made Mcalpine connector - WC-F21R

As it uses a jubilee clip, it shouldn't come off the pan spigot.

Well completely randomly it has fixed itself. Only thing I can assume is when I pulled it all apart to check it, I cleaned the seal (and didn't dry it), so the wet seal might have been the cause.

Then over the last few days it's dried itself out and created a better seal.

Does that seem reasonable?
