Papa's Got A Brand New Workbench

So anyway, I've got this new (cheap) workbench and it came with these black plastic things that I think the manufacturer refers to as "chucks". They fit in the holes that have been drilled into the workbench surface. I figure they're for clamping onto wood or something whilst you work on it, and just wanted to make sure so I could use them properly. Thanks.
 
Do you mean these? some are orange or black and called Grip for holding items as you do in a vice.
