Paragon alarm

My mother has a Paragon alarm (don't know model at the minute) and the numbers she uses to arm it are wearing out, looked on Internet and as far as i can gather you press the chevron sign, then the number 5, then input her old code followed by the new code twice. She has tried this but it hasn't worked. anyone enlighten me to what she's doing wrong.

no its 5 for master code and 4 for user code change, a user cant change a master or a user code.. only a master code can change it... sounds like she is using a limited user code...doe she have another code ?

No, when it was fitted the fitter asked her to to input a code (he turned his back) and thats all she did, now she's lost the M.I.s.
