Hi,
Out keypad is faulty.. it makes intermittent connections. Pyronix (the owners) no longer support this old product BUT they do supply replacement keypad "jelly" (it is the keypad membrane) which should correct the bad connections.
However, there appear to be no manuals for the keypad and I am hesitant to lever it open without knowing what I am getting into.
Can anyone advise on how to open the keypad (and close it again).
Thanks for the help

Don't know this panel I'm afraid but looking at a picture of the RKP I would proceed as follows.

Turn off the mains supply to the system.

Undo the lid and remove from the main control panel, the anti-tamper will sound, enter your code to stop it.

There is a screw at the bottom of the RKP, remove this, the metal cover should then come away, pull the bottom forward and unhook.

How the keypad membrane is attached I don't know, but others I've replaced have never been a problem, I'll let you work that one out.

Replace the membrane, refit the cover, refit the cover to the panel then enter your code to bring the system back to 'day'.

Turn the mains back on.

ps

If your outside sounder goes off at any time during this procedure when the mains is off, you also need a new battery.

Hi,

thanks for that .. all very helpful
I am not sure if it is important, but the RKP that I have is entirely plastic and there are no screws showing.

..... then it will unclip from the bottom or top.

There should be two entry points for a small flat screwdriver to be used as a leaver.

Any reason to ask three times in separate threads?
