okay this is my next DIY project, just finished replacing stair case so Im pretty clued up tools wise etc. Now I have read quite a bit concerning this type of flooring.

My reclaimed floor is Oak, 1930's and in pretty good shape, has bitumen on the bottem, common I know.
So do I go with Lecol 5500 and 6mm ply??

My only concern there is it raises the floor level quite a bit! Oh Im laying it in the hall way so Im concerned about from living room to hall way appearence!

Once and if I use the 6mm do I put the lecol straight on the floor? Do I use a spirit level once I tamper the blocks?

Cheers for all advice I may get! Saul
