Ok. I have a bedroom skimmed but the plaster finish was grey instread of the finish of pink I was expecting. But this was fine. Left it to dry for 6 weeks or so. Put a coat of water 70%/30% b and q white value matt emulsion, then a coat of 50/50, then a coat of full strength paint. Allowing each coat to dry properly. The finish is very patchy, with circles of darker plaster showing through. Im going to apply a couple of coats of dulux white matt emulsion next, si this the right thing to do?????

hey
sounds like the plaster may still be damp , although six weeks should have allowed it to dry out. maybe there could be damp problems deeper in the wall? try getting hold of a damp meter to test the walls out.
grey plaster could have been bonding was it smooth or a little rough?
