patio

You really intend on making a patio by laying concrete? If you are, multiply the area by the depth you want and that gives you the volume of concrete to order.

At 100mm thick you will need 0.7 cubic metres of concrete.

This equates to just under 1.5 tonnes of ballast and 10 x 25kg bags of dust, if you go down the self mix route.

As Wabbit has said, your question is rather ambiguous.

thanks for replies
what is the most cost effective and easiest way of laying a patio, basically we just need to extend our patio that is already there out more so that we can erect our garden room.

pouring concrete is the cheapest way, if thats really what you want. When you say garden room, what do you mean? Are you extending the house onto this new "patio"?

hi
this is the description of the garden room its like a diy extension
# Increase your living space quickly and cheaply with this garden room
# Frame is made from strong galvanised steel fitted with a white PVC trim finish
# Glazed with pre-cut ‘clear as glass’ UV stabilised safety panels
# The roof and base are glazed with twin wall panels which aids insulation and shade
# Double sliding doors give easy access

I rather enjoyed the lingerie section, took me back to when I was a young 'un, let loose with the Freemans catalogue
