Afternoon all

My house has a pebble dash style render over it all and it has had plenty of coats of paint in the past. In a lot of areas paint layers are flaking off. I plan to remove the paint and repaint the place. I have started in one area to remove paint with a wire brush. I'm finding it very slow going due to the number of layers of paint that start coming off. Does anyone have any experience of ways to remove paint a bit quicker? I suspect it will just be a long process - I'll hope for some sunny days!

When I come to paint the place I plan to give it a coat of watered down paint to help adhesion of the paint, is there anything else I should do? I live in on the coast in north west Scotland, so get some fairly harsh weather.

Thanks for any thoughts you may have.
