Had a peep hole supplied with my Anglian made (or not) door.
The other day I came home and something was different with my door. First couldn't figure it out, then it dawned on me. Some little tw4t had nicked my peep hole and pushed the other half throught the door.

I've since ordered a new one but was wondering what to do to stop them doing it again, short of wiring the bloody thing to the mains and surprising them.

Yes I would only put it on the thread, then should you ever need it out you will be able to drill it.

Just curious but how do you think they managed to pull it out from the outside?
They are normally screwed in and tightened from the inside and shouldn't need glue.
I usually apply a film of silicone around the outer barrel before fitting to the door to make it watertight but it isn't something you have to do as long as the hole is the correct diameter to begin with.

I didn't notice any chavs or Range Rovers ;)
