Ovens have baked on (carbonised) stuff on them. Engine stuff tends to be more soluble.
Yeah but I was under strict instructions not to **** things up in the combi oven by using abrasive or acidic products. Yep, the softly softly approach is no good.

It’s a thousand pound oven - I’m taking no chances.
Your oven is the same as mine...the self cleaning/pyro setting is amazing, albeit a bit smelly.

We are limping along with ours until the new year. I am hoping to persuade Mrs S to remodel the kitchen with the swift removal of a stud wall. But the area on the other side has a patio door, so I'm not quite sure how to layout the working triangle.
The oven is an electric Stoves double oven branded for MFI... Fitted in 1994, so it doesn't owe us a penny!
Our bottom slide and hide oven is self cleaning/pyro but the top oven/microwave isn’t. We haven’t used the pyro yet as Mrs Mottie has read that you must open all windows and doors and not come in the room for an hour as it "gives off poisonous gasses".
