There is no well used oven on the planet, that will submit to gentle cleaning. You of all people know that Mottie.I've given up on ours.

Ovens have baked on (carbonised) stuff on them. Engine stuff tends to be more soluble.Does not steam work on ovens ?? Works on greasy old car engines ??
Yeah but I was under strict instructions not to **** things up in the combi oven by using abrasive or acidic products. Yep, the softly softly approach is no good. There is no well used oven on the planet, that will submit to gentle cleaning. You of all people know that Mottie.

It’s a thousand pound oven - I’m taking no chances. That's alright then - Oven Pride is neither!
Your oven is the same as mine...the self cleaning/pyro setting is amazing, albeit a bit smelly. It’s a thousand pound oven - I’m taking no chances.

Us too!I've given up on ours. Just a wipe out and I’ll sort them both in the new year. As long as it’s not smoking like a chimney on Christmas Day, that’ll do. It’ll have to!
Our bottom slide and hide oven is self cleaning/pyro but the top oven/microwave isn’t. We haven’t used the pyro yet as Mrs Mottie has read that you must open all windows and doors and not come in the room for an hour as it "gives off poisonous gasses".Your oven is the same as mine...the self cleaning/pyro setting is amazing, albeit a bit smelly.

Same as I'll be on Xmas day.![]()
