Penance (2025) is served.

I think I may have told this tale before. My nieces husband has an elderly grandmother who keeps a set of "show shelves" which never get used and are slipped back in place in case any visitors arrive.

I remember the problems getting a new oven for mother, had to be high enough, so the door opened above the wheelchair arm rests, but low enough she could see what was being cooked, even then a mistake was made with the control knobs, yours is OK

the temperature is shown on the fascia, hers was on the knob, so could not read the setting looking up at the knob, only when looking down. Such a simple error, just never thought about it.

Also had a problem with the induction hob, could not read the touch controls at the eye angle when sitting in a wheelchair.

Thank fook that's over.
What did you use? Literally started cleaning our two a couple of hours ago (thought I might beat you to it) but Mrs Mottie is insistent we can’t use anything abrasive or acidic, especially on the combined (microwave and oven). She say's to use bicarbonate of soda which is a waste of time in my opinion. Looking for some gel or something. Bottom oven should be no probs as it’s pyrolitic cleaning.

What did you use?
Oven Pride.
2.5 bottles - i.e. x3 sets of Oven Pride cleaning sets. Used two of the bags and half a bottle (for the inside of the cooker and small oven).
Bagged everything up on Sunday eve and added the two bottles of liquid. Started grafting at 7 a.m. by spreading the liquid around the ovens. Finished by 1 pm once I'd mopped the floor, cleaned the sink zone and washed the walls down.

The racks are a bastad.

Is your top one a combination oven (oven/microwave)? Our one is and oven pride instructions say not suitable for microwave ovens. I think I’ve left this too long - Neff do special gels but I’m not going to get any this side of Christmas.
