permitted or not

Hi. I'm starting to doubt if my new extension was permitted development. The house is detached so i built out 4m and across 4.5m. The width of the extension sticks out about 800mm further than the house line. My house is about 1m from my side fence so the extension is in my boundary but not in line with my house....due to the 800mm part should i have got planning permission?

A rear extension which is wider than the house would not be permitted development.

However, keep quiet and probably nothing will happen.

Will do cheers. The house is wider as we started short of the kitchen window but went a bit extra the other way.
