Actually what happens depends on the make and model of boiler and particularly on if its firing or not at the time!

Think it depends if it's leaded or unleaded , if you could report back with your findings that would be great

Can you still get leaded? I haven't seen any for years.
A good squirt of WD would turn any boiler into a jet engine.
