I recently changed the spark plugs and fuel filter on my 206 and now the engine idles intermittantly and occasionally revs quite high whilst sitting still with engine on. I have double checked the spark plugs and they are correctly gapped but am stuck as to where to look now. It has been like this for a month now and is very annoying. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also when i was replacing the front brake pads and i rotated the wheel there was a clicking noise coming from the driveshaft......does this mean they are worn and require replacing?

Thanks
Trevor

Trevor,

Sounds like it could be an air intake problem or loose wiring connection.
Check for dislodged or split vacuum line. Look for a loose connection to the air intake sensors.

When driveshaft c.v. joints are worn to excess they will make a clicking noise constant with vehicle speed when turning left/right.

Great...thanks for the reply and advice...I will have a look at these items tonight and see what i can find.

Thanks again
Trevor
