Peugeot 207 noisey engine

today after driving my car while parked I heard like a clapping noise from the engine area which only did it with low revs you could here it. also after while left running it started making a constant buzzing sound from the engine . this then stopped after turning the ignition off for a while and back on any ideas what it could be?

It's a bit difficult without a video Joe but I'd guess either an exhaust shield problem or one of the ancillaries driven by the auxiliary belt......can you oblige?

it's hard to get a video as it doesn't do it all the time I have sounds on fb but can't get them off fb for some reason

See if the sound changes as you switch the air con off and on.

How about water pump rattling, coolant escaping, engine overheating and cooling fan starting up?
If I'm right, don't start the engine or the timing belt may slip.

not any off those it's like temperamental it doesn't do it all the time mostly when parked and giving slight revs
