Hi All, I have taken my car to peugeot cape town several times for the same problem *overheating*, they cannot get it right. I have noticed recently that when i drive on the road at normal speed the car behaves well but as soon as I drive slowly in preparation for the parking the temperature reaches the red shaded area which forces me to stop immediately. Any idea what could be cause?

The first thing that you should look for is the cooling fan(s) turning on automatically......perhaps they aren't spinning, spinning too slowly or not coming on early enough?
John :)

Does the car have air conditioning? If so it may well have 2 fans and the one that comes on when the air con is switched on may not be working. I had this on my 406 and the car would be fine until you tried to do low speed work or climb a steep hill then the temp. would rocket. Changing the aircon fan worked a treat.
