peugeot206 cc electrical fault

alright lads,got problems with the car. Lights coming on as soon as ignition is switched on.Also the indicators arent working right , they come on briefly then go off and then lights come on.Ive had spray with wd40 around relays , connections to no avail. Can someone with a mechanical background give us a bit of help please[/list]

Sounds like a bsi problem, there are some reset procedures around on the internet that do work.

no it hasnt got wet inside. Was wondering whether i had caused it washing it with hose.il try the reset if i can do it thanks for the help

ok ive tried the reset and it hasnt worked so i take it that it needs repairing.Where is it located is it on the left just above the screen wash filling cap? and will it want reprogramming etc or can i just get a newone & plug in & go. Is this a main dealer job lads

Its inside the car on the drivers side, up underneath the pedal area. I would try bba reman as they provide units which are plug and play and wont need a dealer visit

if i get one from there do i send mine to be reconditioned or do i just buy another are they generic units? , thanks for the help its much appreciated as the cars going soon and i can do without a raping by main dealer

According to the website they send you a fixed one and you sent your old one back or pay an extra £150.

Oddly they dont seem to list a price for the recon one! Usually thats because they are expensive.
