The set up where next door's supply is relying on a connection to your CU for a CPC.

I'm pretty sure my neighbour is relying on a connection to my MET.

There are two cables going into my cutout, so the likelihood is that one comes in from the street and the other loops out to next door.

It's a TN-S supply, and both cables have a (thin and unprotected) connection sweated on and running to my MET.

On the point of earthing we have a lot of supplies where there is a 2.5mm2 equivalent earth from a cable lead sheath to an earth bar.
The size does not comply with any of the later installation regs., but it does comply with our regs as it is our earth and does not need any retrospective action unless we are doing other work on site.
