Well folks, it's that time of the week again.

This week we have a photo sent to me by another electrician.

It is of a mains switchroom which has had a bit of a damp problem.
AFAIK it has not suffered from vandalism.

I apologise about the recent lack of photos, but I have run out.

I have been working on a commercial building site for the last few months, and I have not seen anything worthy of a picture.

I may start a new feature with a picture of the week which has been done properly.

If anyone want's to send me any photos they have taken, I will gladly host them.

I don't like what appears to be the feeder cable coming straight into the bottom of the busbar chamber with no isolation.

The lot was dead when the photo was taken - the isolator on the left hand side had dropped down as the cable entering the top of it had been cut off. The feeder is what looks like about a 125mm PILC, it fed from a power distribution board in a switch room in the building across the road from there (private road), was on a securable isolator 200A per phase. The building with this switchgear in was under demolision when this photo was taken.

It is on the 1st floor of a 3 storey building - there were no windows, about 500yds from the sea too.
