Obviously had no idea how to tackle this.
The MI was terminated (by the look of it) to an adjacent wall where an old CU used to reside. The wall was removed, so the MI needed to be lengthened.
You can just see the 2.5mm T+E taped to the bottom piece of pipework (well painted in). Incidently, it was taken from a 30amp 3036 way in a CU (the wall and CU where removed years ago). The 30amp 3036 was feeding the 4mm radial circuit. The MI feeds a fire alarm panel in an old police station.
