Picture rail scribe

Hello I was just wondering if scrubs joins would be necessary within these

I’m assuming that because this material wouldn’t contract I can just make mitre cuts. Also I’m rubbish at scribes. Thanks

I suspect that the issue might be more that if you use a mitre saw, it's based on the room being 90°.
The advantage of scribing is that it doesn't matter if the wall is out.

Assuming that you'd end up with excess dado, you could make practice pieces.

Thanks. I know the corners won’t be totally square but I’m planning on painting the picture rail anyway so was hoping a bit of decorating caulk would be sufficient.
