pilings

Hi, I'm having pilings put in for a house build by a company called Central Piling. They want 80% deposit. Is this ok? When I questioned him he said they'd been stung a few times recently by private customers so wanted security. Thing is, what security do I have that they will turn up and do a good job?

It's the way it's going. Everybody seems to want paying up front these days. I must admit my biggest problem is non payment at the moment. And that's the first time I've had that in 9 years of trading.
