Pilot light going out when heating comes on

We have a glowworm gas boiler. Over the past few months the pilot light has occassionally been going out. In the past we have managed to follow the instructions to relight it and all has been ok.

This time however after relighting the pilot light, it goes out when we turn the heating on. We cant get it to stay lit, and therefore cant et any hot water or heating.

The pilot light problem does seem to occur when the temperature drops to below 5 C - but not sure if this is a coincidence.

your gas valve needs to be replaced, you may want to get your thermocouple replaced also as he has to take the old one off to get to the valve. clean the pilot also
